Award-Winning Tech Firm Zadara Expands in Cirencester

Zadara, an award-winning technology company that provides storage-as-a-service (STaaS) and data management solutions, has recently taken a new larger office in Cirencester, Gloucestershire, to accommodate its growing UK team.

Headquartered in Irvine, California, the storage and data specialist was founded in 2011 by a team of industry veterans who recognised that companies needed better support and services to improve their data storage standards, and lessen the risks associated with handling vast amounts of data.

Today, Zadara is a global company that has achieved impressive growth, particularly across the US and the UK. Widely recognised for its innovation in the field of storage and data management, Zadara’s growth trajectory continues to strengthen as more partners come onboard and the company continues to enhance its solution portfolio.

Cirencester: “The right choice”

As such, the UK business, based at UBC offices on Cirencester Office Park, has recently increased its office space within the building to accommodate its growing team.

“When our MD, Kerry Telling, first established the UK subsidiary of Zadara, location played a part in his choice of office space,” said Rebecca Morgans, International Marketing Director at Zadara.

“Besides Cirencester being Kerry’s home town, he knew he could build a strong team here. There are a number of good technology companies in the area, and it felt like the right choice.”

A big part of this decision was based on location. Proximity to a reliable train line was important, as a lot of Zadara’s customers are London based. Plus, good road links to both the M4 and M5 made Cirencester “a good fit”, and UBC Cirencester was chosen.

“There is a lot of talk at Zadara – across all our international offices – of Zadara family. This value is very important to the UK team.”

“We are a small supportive team with an ethos of hard work but we place importance on our work/life balance, and our working environment needs to be conducive to team working. UBC provides the right space with the right feel and, importantly, the team at UBC Cirencester fit well with us. They’re supportive and friendly.”

A New Wing for a Growing Team

The company had come to feel at home at UBC Cirencester. In fact, in many ways UBC’s close-knit business community matched Zadara’s own company culture. As the Zadara UK team has increased in the last year to deliver on its growth plans, the team soon outgrew their original space at UBC.

“We looked around at other office spaces in the Cirencester area and, whilst some were cheaper, we ultimately chose to stay at UBC and take over a wing of the ground floor to grow into.”

“In addition to our original office space and dedicated kitchen, we now have our own meeting space and break out space, and a roomy, light comfortable environment in which to work; whilst retaining the wider facilities in the building.”

Rebecca added, “We have enjoyed our time with UBC, the team looks after us and they take care of some of the more administrative aspects of business premises and office management, enabling us to focus on core business.”

Friendly Support

UBC’s award-winning Cirencester team, Jen and Michelle, have worked hard to build a friendly and supportive environment in the centre, as they recognise that a positive business community leads to happier, healthier and more productive people.

In addition to providing general business support and receptionist services, the Cirencester duo regularly lay on events and workshops to help teams within the building meet and connect with each other, which often leads to new business relationships and opportunities.

“Being a small team, we really value the friendly support services UBC provides, from a professional reception team to the meeting spaces available for use – enabling us to entertain clients and partners in a professional environment.”

“We also appreciate the fun activities that the team organises, and being part of a larger community of businesses.”

With the right workspace and the necessary amenities at their disposal, along with those less-visible elements that are just as important - including friendly support and a positive culture - the Zadara team has built strong foundations on which to continue their growth mission in the years to come.
