UBC Welcomes More New Clients to Birmingham Business Park

It has been a busy few weeks for the team at UBC’s serviced offices on Birmingham Business Park.

Four new companies moved in during April, adding to the already high level of interest for the Solihull-based workspace which is also home to UBCUK’s Head Office.

The news comes after the announcement that the Business Park, a 148-acre office and development site, is currently experiencing its lowest vacancy rate in a decade.

UBC provides 200 workstations across 2 floors of serviced office space at Birmingham Business Park’s 1310 Solihull Parkway building. Having opened the business centre in January 2016, UBC continues to welcome new clients to the Park and is now home to 24 businesses.

The newest arrivals include Maria McElvenney of The Highfield Company, a specialist recruitment agency for the construction, civil engineering and energy industries, and Paul Burley of smart energy solutions company, Cylon.

Maria, who leads the new Midlands division of The Highfield Company, says she chose the company’s new offices at 1310 Solihull Parkway “based on location”, due to its motorway links and on-site services, and also because the business centre provides “better offices and facilities than its competitors on the Business Park.”

Maria and her team have settled in quickly and are so far delighted with their new offices – “we love them!” – particularly as the workspace forms an important part of her regional growth plans.

Asked about her highlights of 2017 to date, Maria added: “Opening the office nearer to our valued Midlands clients, and welcoming two new members to the team - Cori and Sanjay. We’re now looking forward to growing our team and our client base in the Midlands.”

In April, Paul Burley of Cylon – a manufacturer of products for the control of comfort and energy in commercial buildings – also moved into new offices at 1310 Solihull Parkway.

Previously based in Stansted, Cylon relocated its UK office to Birmingham Business Park in order to provide a more central location for their expansive customer base.

“We have been around for 30 years,” Paul commented. “We carry out all of our UK training from this office, and we wanted to have an office with the right professional image for our business.”

In addition to a new office, 2017 has proved a busy year for the team as Paul explained that Cylon has just launched a new product - Aspect 3 - which provides building owners with a comprehensive management system and app.

During their office search, Paul explained that the Cylon team “looked at various options” before settling on Birmingham Business Park and having moved in, he reports that they are happy both with their new office and the services from UBC’s on-site support team.

UBC’s serviced offices at Birmingham Business Park are located close to Solihull and Birmingham International Airport, providing an excellent location for access throughout the region. Set within 148 acres of mature parkland, it has become a thriving hub for businesses of all sizes and from many different sectors.
