5 Minutes with Hayley Marshall, Centre Manager at UBC's Enterprise House

Meet Hayley, the vibrant and dedicated Business Centre Manager at UBC’s Enterprise House in Southampton. Hayley works alongside her charming Customer Service Assistant, Rich, and brings a spirited persona and a wealth of experience to her role, creating an inviting and friendly atmosphere at Enterprise House.

"I grew up in Southampton, ventured solo to London, and even explored the lands Down Under before finding my way back home to Southampton among friends and family."

Outside of the workplace, Hayley loves cooking, collecting one too many houseplants, exploring cosy pubs (and the odd bottomless brunch). She also loves live music.

For Hayley, happiness can be found in the beauty of her garden during the enchanting seasons of spring and summer. Her moral compass is guided by three fundamental values: compassion, gratitude, and courage.

Hayley's values—compassion, gratitude, and courage—are the pillars that guide her actions both personally and professionally. "My family is my biggest inspiration," she reveals, highlighting the strong support system that fuels her drive and determination. More importantly, when asked about her dream last meal, Hayley laughs and admits, "a cheeseboard and a glass of wine! Simple pleasures indeed."

Joining UBC, Hayley aims to infuse her role with passion, integrity, and fresh ideas. "I want to make it a truly exceptional centre for everyone—adding lots of greenery along the way!" she says, reflecting her love for houseplants.

Her strengths? "Resilience and dedication," she asserts confidently, traits honed through her diverse experiences. And if you thought managing an office was her only skill, think again—Hayley can juggle!

Looking ahead, Hayley's career aspirations are clear: "I aim to be an inspirational, balanced, and open-minded leader, always giving 100% dedication and enthusiasm to everything I do."

With Hayley's arrival, UBC Southampton is set to bloom with fresh energy, innovative ideas, and a touch of greenery—creating an office environment where everyone feels at home.
