Championing Women in Business at UBC

Championing Women in Business at UBC

At UBC, we believe in the power of women in business. As we celebrate International Women’s Day 2025, we’re proud to recognise the incredible women who drive our business forward every day. The UBC team is made up of 88.6% women, with 3 out of 4 members of our senior leadership team being women. We are committed to fostering an inclusive, empowering work environment where women thrive.

This year on International Women's Day, we challenge ourselves to reflect on how we empower women here at UBC but also what we can do to inspire even more inclusion — how we can ensure that women are valued, supported, and given equal opportunities to succeed. At UBC, we live this commitment daily by championing women in every area of our business: in leadership, supporting career development, and creating a workplace culture that uplifts everyone.

Leading from the Front: Women at the Helm

UBC’s leadership team is a testament to the strength and expertise of women in business. Our female leaders bring experience, vision, and a people-first approach to running our business with a portfolio that reaches across the UK. Their influence extends beyond our offices—they are mentors, community builders, and advocates for professional growth.

Our senior leadership team includes:

  • Jane Erasmus, Sales & Marketing Director, who has been with UBC for an incredible 20 years, driving growth and brand success. Jane was recently recognised as one of the 10 most inspirational women in the flexible workspace sector by FreeOfficeFinder.

  • Sharon Attwood, Financial Controller, ensuring financial stability and strategic planning.

  • Karen Osborne, Operations Director, overseeing business processes and delivering excellence in operations.

Women in Every Role, Making a Difference

From our Business Centre Managers who support thriving business communities, to our Customer Service Assistants who ensure our clients receive award-winning service, the women at UBC play a pivotal role in our success. Their dedication, professionalism, and passion for creating exceptional workspaces drive our business forward.

Creating Opportunities for Growth

We are committed to providing women with the resources they need to grow in their careers. Whether it’s through leadership training, networking opportunities, or flexible working arrangements, we believe in nurturing talent and breaking barriers. By creating an environment where women can succeed at every stage of their career, we continue to build a stronger, more inclusive business. In recent years, we have seen Aysha Hayder develop from CSA to Business Centre Manager at UBC London, Blackwell House.

Looking Ahead

As we celebrate IWD 2025, we remain committed to empowering women, fostering an inclusive culture, and ensuring that every woman at UBC has the opportunity to succeed. We are incredibly proud of our team and the impact they make—not just within UBC, but in the wider business community.

Happy International Women’s Day to all the amazing women at UBC and beyond! Let’s continue to inspire inclusion and break barriers together.
