UBC Sales Director Jane Erasmus Shortlisted for Female of the Year

With the FATC Awards 2025 coming up in October, we are thrilled to share that Sales Director Jane has been nominated for their Female of the Year.

For Jane, the nomination is both humbling and meaningful. Having spent over 20 years in the flexible workspace industry, starting out at her father’s business and continuing at UBC Flexible Offices, she sees it as a celebration of the journey so far. It reflects not only her own career but also the people she has worked alongside and the progress the sector has made. Just as importantly, she views it as an opportunity to highlight the incredible women across the industry who are driving change and inspiring others.

At the heart of Jane’s career is a deep appreciation for people: "every day brings new conversations, new ideas, and new opportunities to support businesses of all shapes and sizes. I love the energy, the adaptability, and the sense of community that comes with creating spaces where people can thrive". That focus on people also defines her leadership style, which she sums up in three words: supportive, collaborative, and consistent.

Her biggest inspiration has always been close to home. Jane credits her father as the driving force behind her career and describes him as true pioneer in the industry whose passion for helping businesses succeed left a lasting mark. Watching him build relationships, solve problems, and stay ahead of the curve instilled in her values she still carries today.

Over her 20 years at UBC, Jane has also witnessed a significant shift in the visibility of women leaders. When she first joined, female leadership in the sector was rare. Today, it is not only visible but pivotal, with women stepping into senior roles, leading with confidence, and shaping the future of the industry: "it’s been inspiring to witness and be part of that change. Today, female leaders are not only present but pivotal, and I’m proud to work alongside so many talented women who continue to raise the bar".

Jane’s nomination is a testament to her career-long commitment to people, community, and progress. It celebrates her journey, her leadership, and her contribution to the sector as well as the growing strength of female leadership in flexible workspaces.
