UBC appoints Laura Shelton new Business Centre Manager at Midlands HQ

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Laura Shelton to the role of Business Centre Manager.

Laura will lead the customer service team at UBC’s Birmingham Business Park location which is also the head office for the business.

Laura brings over 10 years’ experience in the flexible workspace sector to her new role having started her career in the sector working at Bromsgrove Enterprise Park initially as Assistant Centre Manager with Basepoint Centres and later as Community Manager when it was acquired in 2017 by IWG.

When not in work Laura’s hobbies and Interests include walking and exploring the outdoors, reading, cooking & baking for family and friends and keeping fit.

The UBC team recently celebrated recognition for its customer service excellence with awards success when 5 out of its 7 locations were shortlisted or outright winners in the Flexible Space Association Awards.  Laura joins UBC at a pivotal time for the sector, which as we emerge from the Pandemic is seeing a high level of demand for flexible workspace.

UBC’s Sales & Marketing Director Jane Erasmus comments “As more and more businesses are embracing hybrid styles of working, they are turning to the flexible workspace sector as their preferred choice for acquiring office space. At the same time larger businesses are re-evaluating their property portfolio and moving away from city centre corporate offices and are turning to regional towns nearer to where their staff live and are looking to outsource their office requirements to flexible workspace operators, such as ourselves. "

UBC is well placed to meet that demand with 7 locations across the UK, on spacious business parks and market towns, enabling staff to work in private well-maintained offices with dedicated desks with ample car parking on-site or close by, ensuring that UBC customers aren’t reliant on public transport to get to work.

The company is poised to take on new sites in 2022 and plans further expansion over the coming years.
