Ideal Modular Homes chooses UBC offices in Birchwood

UBC welcomes sustainable modular housing manufacturer to Birchwood.

UBC has seen an influx of new office occupiers to its 7 regional locations during the first half of the year. Ideal Modular Homes is one of them, having moved to UBC at Rutherford House, Birchwood in May this year. UBC’s Sales & Marketing Director Jane Erasmus commented

“Serviced offices are a natural choice for growing businesses, simply because of the flexibility we offer.  However, this year we are experiencing demand from companies who haven’t previously considered flexible workspace and now appreciate the benefits of acquiring their office space in this way.”

When asked her reasons for choosing UBC’s offices in Birchwood, Michelle Richardson, Pre Construction Director commented, “Having outgrown our manufacturing facility and offices in Liverpool, we decided to move our manufacturing works over to Sheffield, as that is central to where our key manufacturing employees live.  At the same time, we wanted to retain a satellite office in the Northwest for our employees based over here.   We spent a considerable amount of time researching various serviced offices in the Northwest of England.

We chose here because of the amount of light available in the office spaces, the ample car parking, and the stunning view over the park. Rutherford House is in a great spot, and we are all enjoying being able to pop out for a walk at lunchtime.  Birchwood is also ideally situated for the motorway networks and has excellent food, health, and well-being facilities.”

Ideal Modular Homes is the UK’s most environmentally friendly and sustainable modular housing manufacturer.  Michelle explained, “Using volumetric construction method, Ideal Modular Homes deliver homes of unrivalled quality and desirability in a matter of days.  Our homes are more cost-efficient and sustainable than conventional housing construction methods.”

Like many businesses, the last 12 months of trading have been somewhat challenging, but Ideal Modular Homes is now looking forward to the future with confidence with the recent appointment of senior hires. With the help of new recruits Chief Operating Officer Sonny Burrows and Director of Innovation and Sustainability Darrin Witcher,  the company is set to improve its manufacturing capabilities, increase its competitive edge, and is forecasting strong growth for the business.

The company has several new projects in the pipeline and is expecting to increase the headcount in their design and delivery teams, and anticipate both the Warrington office and their new Sheffield factory to get busier as they take on new projects in 2021.
