UBC Local Charity Fundraising 2026

Giving Back, Closer to Home: UBC Centres Choose their Local Causes

At UBC, supporting the communities around our centres has always been a big part of who we are. In the past, we've raised funds for Alzheimer's UK, The National Autistic Society and more recently Children with Cancer UK. Following the success of last year's fundraising campaign which saw us raise over £10,000 for Children with Cancer UK, we're proud to share the next chapter in our fundraising story. Fundraising brings together our colleagues, clients and communities across our network and through these countless activities we were able to make a meaningful contribution to a cause close to many hearts.

Supporting what matters locally

Having reached this incredible milestone together, we've been thinking about how we can take our charitable efforts one step further. This year, we've invited each UBC Centre to select a local charity that reflects the needs of their own community. By empowering our teams on the ground and their clients to choose a cause that resonates with them as a community, we hope to make an even more direct and meaningful impact.

Reaching our £10,000 fundraising milestone for Children With Cancer UK was an achievement that everyone across the UBC network should be incredibly proud of. The passion and enthusiasm shown by our teams demonstrated just how much can be achieved when we work together towards a common goal. This new initiative allows each centre to support causes that are making a difference right on their doorstep. By empowering our local teams to choose charities that resonate with their communities, we're creating opportunities to deliver meaningful impact where it matters most.

The support Clatterbridge provides goes far beyond treatment, helping patients and their loved ones through some of life's most challenging moments. We're incredibly proud to be supporting their work and can't wait to begin our fundraising journey, starting with our charity networking event in July. It's a chance for our clients and local business community to come together, make new connections and raise valuable funds for a charity that does so much for our region.

Birmingham: Breast Cancer Research

Dedicated to improving outcomes for those affected by breast cancer, the charity funds vital research aimed at improving diagnosis, treatment and prevention while raising awareness of the disease.

Windsor: Alexander Devine Children's Hospice Service

Alexander Devine Children's Hospice provides specialist care and support for children with life-limiting conditions and their families, helping them make the most of every precious moment together.

While each UBC centre has chosen a different charity, every cause reflects the same commitment to supporting people, strengthening communities and making a positive difference where we live and work.

Throughout the year, our teams will be organising fundraising activities, awareness campaigns and community events in support of their chosen charities, and we look forward to sharing their progress along the way.

We'd like to thank our clients, colleagues and partners for their continued support as we embark on this exciting new chapter of giving back. Keep an eye on our social media channels and centre updates to follow each team's fundraising journey throughout the year. Together, we're proving that local actions can create a lasting impact.
