UBC acquires Inigo Business Centres

UBC is delighted to announce its acquisition of Inigo Business Centres expanding its serviced office portfolio to 15 locations. Founded in 1997, Inigo is a well-established serviced office company renowned for its distinctive period buildings in premium town and city centre locations.

While Inigo’s buildings are very different in character to those of UBC, which are typically modern office properties located in out-of-town business parks, both companies are heavily invested in their people and share the same client-focused ethos.

Giles Curtis comments "Since starting Inigo Business Centres in 1997, we have always focused on providing the very best service to our clients. I am delighted that I can trust the ongoing development of Inigo Business Centres to UBC, a company with a highly experienced team who share the same people-focused ethos as we do. Inigo's clients and team members are in great hands, and I look forward to seeing the company continue to flourish."

UBC has several Flexible Space Association awards for customer service excellence and has recently been recognized for its innovative hybrid work adaptations. This includes the introduction of flexible day passes, anytime credits, and hourly bookings to enable businesses of all sizes to operate with greater flexibility and cost efficiency.

A New Direction for UBC

Inigo Business Centres’ 7 flexible workspaces are located in Edinburgh, Leeds, Cheltenham, Bath, Royal Tunbridge Wells, Windsor, and City of London.  While some regions are familiar for UBC, this is their first venture into Central London, Leeds, and Edinburgh, representing an exciting new opportunity for the company.

In addition to geographical coverage, it is also an opportunity for UBC to diversify its style of office buildings. Every Inigo building is either a Listed or period property with unique historic features, such as original fireplaces and grand staircases. The company name, Inigo, was inspired by the work of the great British classical architect, Inigo Jones.

"It's no secret that UBC has been seeking expansion opportunities, and Inigo Business Centres is a good fit” says UBC’s Managing Director Richard Johnson. “The Inigo centres offer an impressive portfolio of flexible workspaces in exquisite period or listed buildings around the UK, enabling UBC to enter a number of exciting new locations including our first venture into Scotland.  We are looking forward to working with our new clients and colleagues and building on the excellent relationships that Giles and his team have created over the years."

Earlier this year, UBC acquired Thursby House on The Wirral from Portal Business Centres. UBC is on the acquisition trail and is actively seeking additional business centres, with the intention of expanding its current 15-strong portfolio to at least 20 locations.
