When you don’t know what happens next

What counter-terrorism taught me about making decisions under uncertainty

We’re delighted to welcome Jonathan Mearns OBE, who will share lessons from an extraordinary career in counter-terrorism and explore what happens when the plan disappears, pressure builds and you simply don’t know what comes next.

Drawing on real-life experiences where uncertainty, responsibility and personal safety collided, Jonathan will explore how we can make effective decisions when we don't have all the answers.

His talk will look at why these lessons are just as relevant in leadership, business and everyday life, and how focusing on the next good decision can help us navigate even the most challenging situations.

“Every challenge is a mountain. How you climb it is up to you.”

Sometimes, all you need to make is the next good decision.
